Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

A licensed practical nurse (LPN) provides support and care for patients on both a physical and emotional level. An LPN may be required to assist patients with everyday tasks such as changing clothes. They may also take vitals, monitor patient charts, and administer medications as needed. LPNs work as part of a team, following the instructions of doctors or registered nurses. Additionally, they are able to make certain nursing decisions on their own.
